Stella Matutina Care Team
The Registered Providers of Stella Matutina Care Home are the trustees of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary, of which Sister Helen O’Brien represents. She is a qualified nurse with many years of experience in caring for older people, and employs specialist consultants to advise on the different aspects of managing the home.
The Registered Manager of the home is Dawn Ward and Dawn is responsible for all aspects of the management of the home and reports directly to the Trustees.
We aim to provide sufficient care staff at all times to meet residents’ assessed needs. They are assisted by administrative, catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance staff who all share the aim of supporting residents. Members of our religious community provide pastoral care for residents, their families and friends. They are supported by our Chaplain.
All staff have an induction programme prior to commencing work, and receive ongoing training. More than 98% of our Carers have NVQ Level 3. All our Senior staff hold NVQ Level 3 as a minimum, with some holding Level 4.
We view all our staff to be of equal importance, and as the home’s most important asset. They are carefully selected and all are here to help contribute to the special Stella Matutina residents’ experience.
